After years of not getting the proper help and forms never arriving, it turns out i just needed to fill out the 10-10 ez form. I have this office, and many other offices to blame, not including the great red bluff office, and i have myself to blame. At least i have an excuse, normal mental problems caused by the military. This office finally did help me. Thanks.
Like many service members transitioning into civilian life I had a mind set that was fostered and encouraged in the military environment: man up, fix yourself, and continue mission. For many veterans this attitude discourages the acknowledgement of physical and mental issues that if left unchecked will continue to get progressively worse. Without going into detail about my specific situation I will say that the staff here listened to my story, offered support and encouragement, and ultimately got me the help I needed. My quality of life has improved exponentially since meeting with them and I cannot thank them enough for everything they've done for me.
This small office of dedicated public servants is an excellent resource for veterans in Butte County. They are there to assist in negotioating the pitfalls that may be encountered in using the Federal and County benefits available to those who have served our nation with honor.
