Our furnace stopped working and it was very cold in our house. We were fortunate to locate the owner of Chaffin Air Conditioning and explained our situation... we did not want to continue using electric plug-in heaters because the evenings were so cold. The thermostat was not working and this was only the beginning of our problem. Over the phone, Mr. Chaffin explained all the possibilities of what could be happening. But his customer service is beyond anything l could've expected. We live in Los Angeles and his company is in Palm Springs. Mr. Chaffin said he could get someone to solve our problem. When another HVAC company blew me off, Patrick from Chaffin took the time to come by to check out the unusual noise that I was hearing and thought was my AC unit. He did this on his way home afterwork. As it turned out, it was a problem not associated with my AC after all. He checked out under my house and discovered it was a broken water pipe that was making the noise. When I asked what the cost was for his time, he said "no charge. Just give us a good review." I an VERY happy to do that. I hope the plumber I have coming is as nice and prompt as Patrick from Chaffin. I will definitly call on them when I do indded nedd HVAC service.

After months of suffering hot indoor temperatures during the triple heat wave and heatstroke symptoms, Chaffin AC was finally called in. Setting the thermostat at 72, yielded 81 degree indoor temps. Even 65 degrees yielded 81 degree temps! David from Chaffin AC arrived early on Sunday morning and within minutes he'd identified the problem. The run valve which controls the AC Compressor was malfunctioning. The main wire leading to the valve had apparently blown out quite some time ago given the amount of wire burn and symptoms. With bills at $1100 per month yielding indoor temps of 80-82 degrees during heat waves of 116-117 degrees, what a true physical and mental relief...read full review
