“I’m giving this review because of the excellent experience I have had at Performance Chiropractic and Sports Care. It all started with the diagnosis of scoliosis in my early teenage years. My back specialist told me there was nothing he could do, and as I got older, the scoliosis would get worse and I would eventually need surgery. That was not the answer I was hoping for. After a year of going to see Dr. Kim at Performance chiropractic and sports care, to my surprise, my scoliosis hadn’t progressed even a little bit. The pain in my back became more tolerable, and I was in less day to day pain. Now it’s been about 5 years and I can thankfully say my scoliosis hasn’t gotten any worse, all thanks to Dr. Kim. My story doesn’t end there though, that was just the beginning for me. When I was 17, I was diagnosed with severe Chiari Malformation. Shortly after, I had to have intense brain surgery, which turned out to make my symptoms worse due to the surgery being done incorrectly. During that year after surgery, I couldn’t even sit in a chair for longer than 30 minutes without being in excruciating pain. I couldn’t sleep at night, and my neck pain was unbearable. Pain medication wouldn’t help, and I felt very disappointed. Dr. Kim was the only doctor who could help me with my pain. The ART (active release technique) that he does is much different than any other chiropractor. He didn’t focus on cracking my neck, he actually focused on my muscles, and helped release all the tension built up in my neck. This helped with my migraines, my vertigo, my overall mobility, and my sleep. If he can help more than any pain medication can, I really suggest you give it a shot. He is so skilled at helping his patients, that with every appointment, he would always make sure I was feeling better than when I came in. If I didn’t, he would keep working on me. He is a very kind doctor, and focuses on helping all his patients have a better quality of life. His treatments aren’t painful, and my muscles feel so much better afterwards. I’m so thankful for Dr. Kim.“
