We had a lovely experience. Thanks to trees downed by the atmospheric river, our arrival was delayed. We called to let them know, & they were so kind & accommodating. They were able to move part of our appointments later so we got the full treatment. Ed, my massage therapist, was kind, respectful & very experienced. He shared with me that he's been at this spa for 25 years, & that several of his colleagues have been there even longer. That's just unheard of in the massage industry, & speaks volumes about how the company treats their employees. This place is really great. It's a seasoned little resort, but in the best way. I wanted to bring my girlfriend to a spot to get some real relaxation in after the holidays and my mom recommended Golden Haven because she had stayed there years ago and loved it. It's the place in Calistoga that still feels like Northern California and not like it's bending over backwards to impress foreigners you know? Our attendant Suzy, has worked at Golden Haven following in her Grandmother's footsteps. She pampered and guided us through the whole process of mud room to showers to the relaxation room. So, don't be off put by the exterior of the complex or dated interior. The magic is in the mud!
