My parents and I stayed at Calistoga Hot Springs for three nights and had a nice stay. Since we visited during the week, it was not very crowded.
The pools were great, and we liked having different water temperatures to choose from. Our room had a small kitchenette with everything we needed, and it was comfortable for our stay.
The staff was nice enough and helpful when needed.
The only thing we did not like was that there is no restaurant on the property. They gave us breakfast vouchers, but we had to go to a restaurant off site each morning for breakfast. It was not a big problem, but it would have been more convenient to have a restaurant at the hotel.

I went just for the day - had the best (and my first) mud bath experience with Secret. She was amazingly attentive to me and my friend, walking us through all the steps of the process, making sure we were hydrated and taken care of. We will be back! Hopefully on a quarterly basis. Thanks, Secret! :)

Oh… My… God… Mud SPA attendant Carmen is something else. She should not be in a customer service. She absolutely lacks any basic customer engagement skills. I was quite shocked by her responses and behavior. Totally ruined my SPA day… she is rude, argumentative, aggressive and so unprofessional, I wonder how she is still there. I came for a relaxing and quiet experience and left with tension and stress. Recommend you avoid her as your SPA attendant.

Staff is not friendly. Remember, u can not use the pool prior check in and have to leave at 11 at check out. It’s a boomer.

I love staying at this hotel and have stayed there for a few times. I chose them mainly for the hot spring pools. I prefer to come at winter or spring when weather is cold. But they have pools at different temperatures so coming all seasons are fine.
Rooms are basic but comfortable. Highly recommend!

I have visited here many times. It never disappoints. Beautiful setting as you enjoy the pools, the fire pit at night and the sound of water. Very relaxing. The mud bath is amazing. You are suspended in this wonderful volcanic ash, peat moss, mineral water mixture. After the mud bath I was treated to a mineral bath, a eucalyptus stream bath and finally a cooling table to rest. My skin feels so smooth and looks absolutely radiant after this amazing treatment. I am here again in May fire another mud bath, only this time I am going for the massage.

This resort's location is the best! It's located right behind downtown Calistoga. For the super budget conscious or for groups this resort will work just fine. If you're looking for upscale, fancy or luxurious, this isn't the place.
Unfortunately, we were not informed when booking a king guestroom that we would be placed in a room with a remote resort location requiring us to walk up 3 flights of stairs (no elevators).
The view from the front door of the room was a roof top with all of the air conditioners. The view from the windows in the back of the room was a construction staging area. I requested to be moved and was told that there was no availability.
As a couple, I won't be staying here again; there are too many choices in the Napa Valley.

My wife and I had a combo 1 hour mud bath and 1 hour massage. Mud bath is actually 12 minutes for safety reasons. No where does it state on their website you don't get the full hour in the mud. Secondly, I had an hour break (their scheduling, not mine) between the mud baths and the massage and they wanted to charge me $100 a couple to sit on the chairs at the pool to kill time. Lastly, my wife received a severe burn between her two toes from the mud bath and it got infected. She is on antibiotics. I asked the Spa to call me and have been ignored.

First time staying here and I had an absolutely great time. The three pools were perfectly clean and lovely to float in. The temperature differences of hottest to coldest were great for different times of day and for switching around in. The room was cozy and the gym was great. Will be staying here again!
