I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dog and Cat Hospital and the exceptional care my dog has received there. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed, respected, and truly cared for.

Dr. Liset Diaz is an outstanding veterinarian—knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly compassionate. She took the time to thoroughly examine my dog, clearly explain every detail, and answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed. It’s obvious that she genuinely loves animals and takes great pride in her work.

As a pet owner, it means everything to trust the person caring for your dog, and Dr. Diaz earned that trust completely. My German Shepherd was treated with kindness and expertise, and I left feeling confident that he was in the best hands possible.

I highly recommend Dog and Cat Hospital to anyone looking for top-quality veterinary care. This is a place where pets are treated like family.

Awful Experience – Will Never Come Back Again

We had a long-standing appointment scheduled weeks in advance at Dog and Cat Hospital Calabasas, and we were shocked at how poorly we were treated. When we arrived, my partner politely greeted the receptionist, Adriana, but instead of a simple hello, she rudely cut him off with a “one moment” and no courtesy whatsoever. We’d already had a rough experience just parking, and the atmosphere inside was no better. Adriana was in a bad mood and wrongly accused my partner of cursing at her, which he absolutely did not do. She went to the back, and then they told us they wouldn’t see us at all.

What made this even more disappointing was that after years of loyal service and countless referrals, they were so quick to make this decision without any regard for our history as long-standing clients. It felt truly absurd and disheartening.

On top of this, their pricing is outrageous. They quoted us over $2,200 for a dental cleaning, and we felt completely cheated. We ended up going to Mid Valley Veterinary the same day, where we got fantastic service and the same procedure for under $900. If we hadn’t been treated this way, we might never have realized how overpriced they were all along. It’s clear we’ve been overpaying all these years for subpar treatment.

It’s also worth noting that Dr. Williams who used to make a positive difference is no longer there, which might explain the decline in overall experience.

I strongly urge others to avoid this place. They need to train their staff on basic courtesy, rethink their outrageous pricing and recognize the value of their long-time clients. We won’t be coming back.

This is so far the best vet I have been to in my life. My dog is comfortable with the staff and easy to handle. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. My pet can be difficult, but the staff stays calm and efficient. Thank you very much for your kind help!

Dr. Diaz and her staff are the best. They're incredibly patient, personable, and compassionate. The place is always clean and relaxing. Our senior dog recently crossed Rainbow Bridge and everyone made the process so comfortable. We cannot thank them enough. We look forward to seeing them again when we get a new dog!

This is an appreciation post for Dr. Diaz. She is a fantastic doctor with a kind, caring bedside manner. I appreciate her proactive approach and sense of urgency in her care. You can tell she really loves what she does. She truly cares for the animals she treats and it shows in her engagement with the owners and her willingness to take the time to do what is needed and in the best interest of the animals. We need more great doctors like her! I’m so grateful that we found her.

Plz get a second opinion from another facility!!! My Shih Tzu, Bella whatever you know, and then wake up with this horrific scream. Her body would be laying down, but her head would be back. So I thought she had a kink in her neck or her neck fell asleep so I would rub her neck and she would be fine.

Bella has gone to see Dr. Latos (who I recently learned is no longer there) Dr. Diaz (the last time) for various ear infections, etc. In a six month. period went to see mostly Dr. Latos.

NOT ONCE … NOT ONCE … did either doctor suggest that she might be having seizures. Bella died a week ago of a large episode seizure. Had I known she was having seizures I would’ve put her on seizure medicine

This isn’t a piece of trash that you just make a mistake and throw away.. These are animals and these are beloved animals that are part of our family

I am absolutely completely devastated that NOT one doctor suggested she might be having a seizure. And I thought seeing another doctor because my main doctor Latos was on vacation would’ve maybe said something but they didn’t know why and it didn’t do anything about it.

My Bella died. She died in my arms, trying to get to a hospital because we were on vacation. For the sake of your pets… Please get a second opinion I will never recommend Dog and Cat Hospital in Calabasas.

And I’ve had good experiences up until then. But something that is serious that could kill her they didn’t come through.

We’ve been hesitant about neutering our 4 year old lab since he was diagnosed and survived Leptospirosis 2 years ago. Dr Diaz and staff are so caring and so supportive. Answered all our questions and made us feel so at ease. Wonderful experience, not to mention, our pup really loves the staff. ❤️

Dr. Alan Schulman is the greatest Vet of all time. How he treats an animal and communicates to the owner is truly magical.
