Since it was an option, I saw her massage therapist, Zak, to see if I could resolve my dizziness and vertigo without needles. It has been very effective so far. But then my knee had been acting up and I needed acupuncture so I saw Emily. After the first treatment the pain was reduced noticeably. And it's continually getting better. Under their care, I have not needed an American doctor in years. As an added bonus, parking is easy here and it's right off the freeway.“

430 Peninsula Ave #3, San Mateo“Dr. Zhu is one of the most dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate practitioners I've had the pleasure to work with. I'm incredibly grateful for how she helped me when I was suffering. She was very thoughtful in her recommendations and took the time to make sure I understood her suggestions and played an active role in my care. It was clear my health was important to her. I especially appreciated her accessibility and timeliness of her responses so I could take action quickly to minimize suffering. Additionally, she took into account the reality of my life circumstances to tailor her suggestions to my situation instead of just giving blanket recommendations. I've seen a lot of doctors and practitioners in my life, and she stands out as one of the best all around. Thank you, Dr. Zhu!“

My first pregnancy ended at 32 weeks due to severe preeclampsia and for my second pregnancy, I was referred to Dr Beth by my doula to help manage my blood pressure and prevent preterm delivery. I am so grateful she and the Many Lives team were part of my pregnancy journey. My blood pressure was controlled my entire pregnancy and I experienced all of the other amazing benefits of acupuncture from heartburn relief to stress management and eventually encouraging labor and optimal fetal positioning. I got to my induction date at 39 weeks and baby was in a perfect position. I highly recommend Many Lives to any women who are looking for ways to prevent and manage preeclampsia and hypertension.“

I have been working with Sachi for the last 3 months. I came to her in late February as I was experiencing frequent migraines, borderline chronic. She truly helped me not only alleviate the immense tension in my neck and head; she got rid of the migraines altogether within 2.5 weeks. She also continues to help me with anxiety, digestion, and migraine prevention.
Currently, she has been helping me on my fertility journey, which I am so grateful for her guidance in this process.“

1371 El Camino Real, Millbrae“Saw Dr. Ho a while back and neglected to write this. It would be 5 stars were it not for one thing that happened. I got positive results in that it seemed to reduce the pain for which I went to see him and though it stopped working after a while, I don't attribute this to his practice but to that my system seems to get desensitized no matter the type of intervention. He is a man of few words and has a lot of confidence in his demeanor, which is fine, not that I wanted him to say any more than he was. Either it's his nurse or his receptionist, which might be his wife, who after the needles have been for a while, comes in and removes the needles. The office is centrally located and clean and neat inside, looking more like a house with a long narrow corridor and multiple rooms. The cost for services seems like the rate for this area, and though he does other stuff like cupping, I never got that done (only acupuncture). Once, what happened is: I walked there and back from my house, and as I was walking back from the acupuncture, noticed a horrific pain in my right calk. I never lifted my pant leg to see, I just kept walking. That's totally on me and my mistake. I should've stopped to see WTF was the matter. It wasn't till I got home and took off my pants, that I saw the needle still in my calf! He normally put needles all up and down my body,, and tbh, I always closed my eyes so never knew the exact locations. When I saw that needle, I freaked out, took it out. Called their office and massively complained. I was shocked that they were not more apologetic, and rather matter of fact. Huh? Is this a thing of such frequency in the acupuncture world that my reaction is overkill? Not sure. But still, it would've been nice to get a profuse apology and remorse/regret, but I didn't. I did go back after that, and in that visit, mentioned again the incident with the needle left in my calf, and he didn't seem all that bothered. Not long after that, a few visits more and I stopped.“

Doctor Gan is so knowledgeable and is always on point when she does acupuncture. I sit a lot at work and have both neck and back problem. In addition, I danced often so my legs are tight as well. She is able to help me loose the muscle and makes me feel recovered after every session. On top of that, they also have great therapeutic massages. Both Sunny and Leo are extraordinary and responsible. They are my life savers after a long working week“

“Dr. Wang has been very helpful for my acute back pain. He listens to where your pain points are, asks thoughtful questions, and then talks about his treatment plan. He has provided me relief where chiropractors were unable to. I had never done acupuncture before and was scared of needles. However, his technique doesn't hurt at all. You barely feel the needle going in and once he's done and you're lying there, you can feel your body calm and start to heal. The cupping also helps if you have acute pain as it helps to release pressure in those areas. I benefited so much from it that when my mom came who is struggling with a lot of arthritis I sent her to him and she also said Dr. Wang was very helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone in pain but also who wants to just benefit from relaxation and cleansing. It has become a weekly appointment for me and an hour of calm that I look forward to. Dr. Wang responds promptly to emails, texts and even follows up with extra information that he talks about in sessions to help at home. He has been very flexible accomodating my schedule and reschedules. Can't recommend him more highly.“
