We live in an older Burbank house that was built around 1940. When we bought the house in 2015, we were told that we needed to replace the roof sooner or later. It had 3 layers of shingles atop old-fashioned wood shakes. Shea Roofing was not the lowest bid, and it wasn't the highest bid; they were right in the middle. We liked their businesslike approach, and after checking their license information on the state website, we hired them. They were outstanding i every way. In the heat of summer, they first sent a demolition team to remove the three layers of old shingles, along with the wood shakes. They did this in one day. There were 12 guys, at least, doing the work. The next day they sent another team of 12, to lay down the plywood and new shingles. We have a detached garage that was included in the project. The shingles were laid in one or just over one day. We highly recommend this company for residential roofing needs.
needed to remove lighting fixtures in roof/ceiling and install new skylights in roof over the Living Room. Removal and installation went as originally scheduled, on time, and on budget, despite some unforeseen issues with the original roofing. Clean up was immaculate, and the sunlight pouring through caused my long-time friend to comment: "I didn't know your couch was blue!!"
I just had Shea roofing redo my house and garage and it only took a few days and the price was very reasonable. Bill came out and did a thorough inspection of the roof and his assessment concurred with other people that had come out. But he mentioned my lack of proper ventilation in certain areas and made great suggestions. I told him that my previous roof that had only been done by someone else 15yrs prior was done on the cheap and that they had used faulty material-- all the granules had come out from rains exposing the fiberglass. He made sure that he'd install excellent materials with an excellent warranty, both for workmanship and materials. Blake, super nice guy, oversaw the installation. Oh, and part of the roofing process is that they provided a porta potty outside for the workers. No one needed to ever enter the house. The job was done quickly, efficiently, and cleanup was great. You'd never know they were there. Top notch professionals. My wife and I are very happy.
