the last 2 times I have gone here the experience was not as positive as I had hoped for. I stopped going here because a nail tech tried to pull some what I consider, shady stuff! I always get gel and I pay extra for it. I had picked 3 colors instead of 2 that time and the tech said nothing. did my nails then charged me 15 instead of 10. I asked why? she said you picked 3 colors. I asked her why she didn't tell me when I picked 3 colors? I had never had this issue at other salons? I told her I'd pay the extra 5 but you best believe i won't be paying extra anymore! they didn't charge me the extra 5 however it really disappointed me so I just stopped going there! so as of yesterday after taking a rest from acrylics I decided for my birthday I was going to treat myself! the nail salon I had hoped to get into was completely booked so I decided, let's give vip another chance? they did have some good techs and maybe this time would be different? nope! I asked for acrylics, tech was adamant that I try gelx, told me all about it and how it's just as strong but lighter, Yada Yada Yada. so I'm like great! you can get fills on these? nail tech: YES!! you're sure you can get fills? YES! How much are fills? 65. I thought it strange that fills cost the same as a set but if it's better for my nailbeds ok. so I get the gelx and I also get a pedicure. the pedicure tech recommends the vip royal pedicure for 59, ok great! this includes gel right? pedicure tech: YES! so I get my services, tip 20% in cash prior to paying the bill only to be given a bill that is much higher than anticipated! I was charged extra for gel. the front desk lady calls over the tech and asks her you told her gel comes with that pedicure? tech looks at me and then says No. I'm like what? are you serious? the front desk lady tells me that their English isn't that good. that is not a good excuse for me or my pocket. the front desk lady apologizes and gives me 10% off so I'm like ok, at least there's that right? nope! I get home to show my roommate my nails and she says she's gotten gelx before. so I'm like great! ask her how do they do fills on these? she says: they don't! you have to get a new set each time! so I was lied blatantly to my face by 2 different nail techs! this is unacceptable and once again they have lost my business!!
