🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 These are just some of the reasons why the space is an incredible place to train. It is very much designed for serious dancers to be industry ready. So if you are looking for a cute costume, with basic steps, this is NOT it. The Millers have created a state of the art facility that trains pre and current professionals. This is regarding the Academy program- Everyday is packed full of industry training, technique, filming, and critiques to improve with. In addition to dance they were also exposed to acting and voice lessons. As well as having agents come in frequently to see the kids and give them tips. Here are just a few of the people that help make the Space what it is. First, let me start with Melissa. Melissa has more patience than anyone I have ever met. There were plenty of occasions that I needed help with something online. Never once did she make me feel like I was a bother or that I was a fool for having an issue. When I helped at reconstruct she went over everything with me to make sure things were done the way you all do them. So thank you Melissa for always being willing to help me, and to be friendly. Being on our own out there, that really meant a lot. Next, Cory, you recording moments, and classes allowed my family to stay connected. We have always been a “package” deal, this was our first time splitting our family up. I can’t begin to tell you how difficult that was and is for us. My husband and daughters and myself being able to see Jayden on videos and photos helped to keep our tight bond that we treasure so much. I pray that you will continue filming as much this coming year. For Jayden she has told me how special your journaling classes were. There were times where she shared from her heart very openly, that is something she does with very few people. What a blessing it has been to see her connect with you on that level and feel that safe. But also hearing you give her pointers in classes and just helping her feel more confident about herself, if you knew her before you would understand what a huge leap that was for her. Also, this was the first time since I was 15 yrs old that I have not taught dance. I love being around the kids and the dancing. Simply opening that garage door made my heart so happy. I wanted those kids to see that they have a village supporting them. I wanted to show them more people care. By the end of the year so many kids would wave when they saw me and smile when they saw me clapping for them. I didn’t realize how much I needed it too until the end of the year, when I sat there watching just how much they have all grown in such a short amount of time. Just so proud of each one of them. Alexis and Krista, together you two made magic happen with this program. Both of you were there for Jayden in so many ways. You held her to a standard that helped her have confidence in who she is as a person. You also made her feel so special and so loved. She absolutely loved and felt honored any time she got to assist for a Spacetv segment. You both recognized her hard work, focus, passion, and gentle heart immediately, which allowed her to feel at home right from the start. And even though we cannot afford to pay for all the private lessons that others can, you both never made her feel less than anyone else in the room. She told me after the second month that she felt like she was always at the space and that she couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. At the end of the year I asked her how she felt. She said she felt like more than a year had gone by and yet it was over way too fast. She felt at home and felt she made life long friends who don’t find it weird or odd that she is so passionate about dancing. That was so special to me. We lost count of how many different teachers, and choreographers she was exposed to this year. It was a crazy amount, that we do know! The experiences, the performances, videos, classes, friendships, and more I have no doubt have shown her a whole new world of possibilities. We are so grateful to everyone who was a part
