I called for a hair cut but didn't realize they had just closed. But Murphy said "get on over here and I'll open back up to cut your hair." What??? So amazing and generous. Then when I showed up shortly after, I got a very good haircut and had an excellent time chatting about motorcycles, the history of Big Bear, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I needed a place to take my son for a haircut. Everyone in Murphy's was very friendly. When I told them I don't live in Big Bear, they offered tips on local eateries that are off the beaten path. This is a great traditional barber shop.

Me and my boyfriend were visiting big bear for the week and he wanted to get a haircut so we came to Murphy's and so happy we did! Murphy was so nice and personable and told us some cool stories about the people he has cut hair for and he did a great job with my boyfriends haircut!!
