I inquired about a study on hypertriglyceridemia. A study concerning lowering triglycerides in people with hypertriglyceridemia. The screening process was very pleasant. Dr. Lepor provided very detailed information on the study. Blood test were conducted to assess if the study was right for me. I was given a scan at no charge in order to find plague in my arteries. The scan showed plague in my arteries. Dr. Lepor prescribed medication to lower my cholesterol which was effective. Dr. Ali Maher who is the senior clinical research coordinator, conducted other blood draws and informed me that the triglycerides in my blood were at a good level. Previously they were at 199. I did not qualify for this study. Happy though because I had received such exceptional care, concern and attention. Both of these doctors are thorough, caring, and professional. Dr. Maher called me to verify my address because I would be receiving a check for my participation. I had not expected monetary compensation. Thank you both and I appreciate it because it was helpful at this time. Again, thank you for your excellence. It was a good experience for me knowledge wise and my personal health. There is definitely value in studies and I would participate in any study I qualified for in the future.
I don't know what this guy Matt H. is talking about! Dr Lepor is the most attentive cardiologist. He is super experienced, went to the best schools, became a stellar diagnostician who does his own research. I have had the best experience working with him and his research team as well. I could give him 10 stars if I could.
My husband had been looking for a cardiologist for almost 5 years after his dr retired. He saw several that were absolutely awful, and he was very discouraged. He was referred to a doctor at Cedars Sinai who sent him to Dr. Lepor. The best thing that he could have hoped for. Dr. Lepor is attentive, caring, takes time to listen and answers every question. He's invested in my husband's health which is something he hasn't experienced with a cardiologist in a very long time. We are so grateful that he's my husband's cardiologist and appreciate him. His entire office team is so wonderful. They are equally kind and attentive. Maria is amazing, she makes sure everything is on track and follows up regularly. She responds immediately when my husband has questions which is so refreshing. We can't say enough good things about Dr. Lepor and his office team.
