I love Yoga Kula - every time I visit the Bay Area I make sure to take some classes here. This place oozes authenticity, inclusiveness and relaxation. The teachers are great and offer a varied selection of classes. I am so grateful that I came across this gem and long-time Berkeley yoga haven many years ago - I have never found a place quite like it. ????
It was my first time at YogaKula referred by a friend. My visit was nothing short of amazing & transformative. My instructor Julia Alexander was phenomenal. She had a calm healing presence to her & was very clear/articulate in her instruction yet flexible for those just beginning. She shared an inspiring quote at the beginning by John O'Donohue "I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding." & integrated that message throughout the movements so they're fluid like water. Very spiritual experience. I felt more connected to my body & heart than ever & was able to release what didn't serve me while here. The space was nice, clean, organized, & even had a little zen seated area by the window waiting area where we could pour ourselves tea & ground ourselves before beginning. Loved it 100% & will be back next time in area. I never leave reviews but for this I felt compelled to do so. Definitely recommend

People of all ages attend classes here, which is something I truly appreciate. The studio has good ventilation, ample natural light, and it is beautifully situated in a convenient location.
