    It routinely takes 25-40 minutes just to get an office staff person to call you back, or waiting on hold will take as long as that or more. They're really understaffed, and it shows. Doctors come and go so fast at this clinic, probably because they're overworked and underpaid. Unfortunately, that translates into a terrible experience for the patients. For a place that was created to serve mainly folks who are on state health insurance (or Medicare), this place is an ugly reminder that the CA medical system needs an overhaul from the ground up.

    I visited here today with my son who has been previously diagnosed with autism in a foreign country when he was 1. For the past 6 years of living in the U.S., I have fought tooth and nail to convince my son's previous primary doctors to give us a referral for an autism assessment but was always gaslighted and told "I don't see it" when they've only seen him once or twice. We went to see Dr. Marino today and that was not our experience at all. She was very accommodating and it is obvious that she knows enough about autism to hear out my concerns.
