About Berkeley Deep Sports Massage
Berkeley Deep Sports Massage specializes in deep tissue and sports massage, offering therapeutic relief for individuals. Their approach emphasizes addressing pain, injury recovery, and performance enhancement through targeted bodywork. Clients praise the therapists' expertise and ability to alleviate muscle tension and improve mobility. Specific techniques like trigger point therapy, acupressure, and hot stones are employed to target the root of pain and restore range of motion. The clean and hygienic environment, along with convenient scheduling, contributes to a positive client experience. However, it's important to note that this type of massage involves deep pressure and may feel mildly to moderately painful, which is considered an integral part of the therapeutic process. Clients seeking a gentle Swedish massage experience are advised to explore other options. Customers have recently described the place as casual and no-frills, with a friendly and knowledgeable therapist named Ramon who worked wonders on their bodies. Another customer, Adam, was praised for his professionalism, kindness, and ability to apply the perfect amount of pressure. Overall, the facility has received positive feedback, with clients experiencing significant pain relief and recommending the services to their friends.
First and foremost, the massage I received last week was great and at no point in time did the therapist make me feel uncomfortable. That was my first time visiting Berkeley Deep Sports Massage.
I want to share that I did not feel safe as a woman at this clinic, due to the way it is set up. I was the only customer in the clinic with the male therapist - there was no person at the front desk or any other customers in the clinic at the time. It's located on a section of San Pablo that does not have a lot of regular foot traffic. Perhaps there's a way for the business to group more clients together that would help female clients feel more at ease
At Berkeley Deep Sport Massage, the practitioners are professionals- the kind who could be contracted to travel with a sports franchise, but are working here. I have had 3 treatments (with Adam). All have increased my range of movement and decreased my pain levels. One treatment was maybe too much for me because I am not used to it and I need a little bit at a time until my body adjusts. Just doing the exercises from my PT is maybe enough therapy but this deep sports massage is a real boost to the healing process, so I will keep going.
I have chronic knee issues, and after my most recent flare up was unable to run or bend my knee deeply for months. After one session with Aida, I was able to (slowly, cautiously) jog half a mile and had noticeably increased range of motion on the knee.
Getting bodywork hurts like the dickens and is really intense (be prepared to speak up if something feels like too much), but it works. Highly recommended.
