Front desk Jessica is very greeting and makes you feel good and minda is the best i had an issue for over 2yrs and going to chiropractic no changes until i went to Minda she got my arm functioning i love it

Unfortunately, I have to rate Massage Envy Bakersfield 1 star not because of the massage, but because of the management. Connie was an amazing masseuse! Most definitely ask for her! However, the manager was overwhelmingly rude and she was extremely disrespectful when it came to membership plans. Snarky remarks on the phone were extremely unwarranted. I really wanted to like this place, and I did when it came to the massage! However, I will not be returning.

I had an amazing experience the last time I went to the Bakersfield Massage Envy. I had booked online, but the appointment didn't show up in their system. The manager Jessica was able to accommodate me despite me basically being a walk in. Connie was great and I really enjoyed my massage. I received the enhanced muscle therapy as an upgrade and felt it was an extra boost to helping remove the tension I carry in my shoulders and low back.

Absolute trash....I wish it wasn't. I am honestly surprised they have over four stars. My husband booked a couples massage for our 18th year anniversary. When we arrived, we were offered water and asked to sit in a sitting room. The ladies that gave the massage came out and escorted us to a room. My husband, who is pretty muscular requested a "firm" massage and I requested a "medium." The lady doing my husband's message said, "oh, I don't do that." And we should have walked out. We spent a lot of money to essentially "have lotion rubbed on our bodies." He also paid an extra $12 for "aromatherapy" which and I kid you not, was the masseuse rubbing lotion on her hands and telling my husband to "inhale." WHAT?! Sniff her hands?! So, we spent an hour getting lotion put on our bodies, zero pressure applied and such a waste. We paid for our services and left. I would NEVER recommend this location or brand. I seriously have no idea how it has so many stars.

Purchased a couples massage for my boyfriend and I we had to move the date of the original day of the massage. Which was no problem. Once we came in for our couples massage Leann the Assistant Manager who was extremely negative said that the call center messed up and that they wouldn’t be able to conduct our couples massage today. We were so disappointed. Her story line made no sense and we came to the conclusion that the local store made the mistake and didn’t want to confess that they gave one of our masseuse to another client. I would much rather go to any other spa locally then massage envy. There Leadership staff was NOT professional, transparent, truthful, and trustworthy to us. We asked for a refund and was given a member to call for the gift cards.
Updated 5/13/24 thank you Jessica the general manager for reaching out and listening to our concern with care and understanding our frustration. If it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t have ever came back to Massage envy. You and the rest of the team took a really negative experience caused by one employee and turned it around. Thank you.

Came in for a facial before my wedding and signed up for membership. I wasn’t told it was a contract and that I wouldn’t be able to cancel. Every time I booked a service the, they tell me the Esthetician has called or had an emergency the day of. Then they would have the most inconvenient times available to rebook. They don’t have many options for messages either. I was told I can only cancel membership if it’s a medical emergency. I feel like I’m being robbed. I haven’t used their service since last October because they never have appointments that works or keep canceling my appointments. I would call my card but they seem like the type to report to your credit. I would avoid them at all cost and find a local person to get your services. #SCAM

I've been scheduling 90 min deep tissue sessions regularly with Chris for nearly a year. He's an excellent massage therapist is is able to very effectively work on trouble spots on my shoulders, back and neck. I always leave feeling relief from any discomfort and pain. I highly recommend Chris and Massage Envy. The location in the Marketplace is always spotless and comfortable, although sometimes difficult to get an impromptu appointment. Book ahead!
