I started seeing Doctor Taylor about a month ago at the wound care clinic at Mad River Community Hospital. I had surgery down at Stanford at the end of March and ended up with two open wounds along my incision. My surgeon wanted me to come down every week to get my wounds treated but driving to Palo Alto weekly would have been such a hassle. I gave birth to my first child at this MRCH’s birth center and the staff took great care of us the entire duration of our stay. I had multiple complications that required an emergency cesarean birth. I felt all staff near me were attentive and I am sad this birth center is closing. In addition, I have had ultrasounds, X-rays and admission to the emergency room here over the years. There were sometimes long wait times ranging from 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours, but the medical system in general is under strain and this has been a growing issue at all medical facilities. If I can, I always prefer to come to this hospital for anything I need done locally.
My father was at Mad River Community Hospital several times this past year due to failing health and some falls. He was also at Mad River Community Hospital just prior to his passing. Each time he was there, he received excellent care. During the last hospitalization, all of the staff and medical providers were extremely professional and compassionate. The nurses took extra time to provide information to out of town family and also assisted with phone calls, when he was not able to answer the phone himself. They treated my father and our family with respect and kindness, in additional to providing excellent medical care. We are grateful MRCH was the closest hospital...read full review
