They have a slow service, every time we check in. It take at least 40 minute or more just to check in. Another 30min or more to see the doctor.

Thank you doctor kim for helping Penelope we love you and respect you a lot, you bring hope to Penelope and did a lot for her. This is the best veterinary clinic 💛 prices are affordable and yes you might wait some time but for me wating is not important as long at my cat is fine, I don’t care about the eating time and thank you to the staff for always being kind and helpful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Spay/Neuter Service for My Cat! (Second Visit) This was my second time visiting this clinic, and once again, I am completely satisfied with the service. I brought my 11-month-old male cat in for a neutering procedure. I believe the appointment was scheduled about two weeks in advance. Timeline and Experience: Drop-off: Around 6:00 PM. Procedure: Around 8:00 PM. Pick-up: Around 10:00 PM. The process was very smooth. I live only 15 minutes away, so I dropped him off and received a call at 10:00 PM notifying me he was ready for pick-up after recovery.
Cost and Satisfaction: Regardless of whether the price varies by weight, our total cost for the procedure was exactly $152. I am highly satisfied with both the price and the quality of the service provided. Thank you very much!

Pros :) - super cheap, especially compared to other vets in SoCal - friendly, dedicated staff - easy to follow system - not too busy before 11am - decent quality care 👍
Cons :( - often understaffed/overbooked !! - the longest I (and other customers I spoke to in the lobby) have waited was 4 hours, multiple times as well - parking is literally 2 spots + handicap😭 - parking area is very compact
**Overall I prioritize care, price, & proximity so this is -my- best bet**

Doctors are great. Front desk awful. They lack the basic communication skills to keep us moving along. I typically wait for over an hour to be seen even with an appointment.

I would never recommend Anchor Animal Hospital to anyone who truly cares about their pet. My parents had an appointment scheduled, yet they were forced to wait from 12 PM until 7 PM—an absolutely outrageous amount of time. In all those hours, no real work was even done on our dog. Instead, they left her sitting in a cage for hours, stressed and uncomfortable.
What makes it worse is the staff’s complete lack of professionalism. The receptionists were rude, dismissive, and acted as if our concerns didn’t matter. We trusted them to provide compassionate, timely care, but instead our pet suffered through unnecessary waiting.
If this is how they treat animals and their owners who already have appointments, I can only imagine how poorly they handle emergencies. This experience was unacceptable and heartbreaking, and I strongly advise finding a different animal hospital that actually respects both pets and their families.

Dr. Kim is familiar with the pet immigration process to Japan. I sense that he is quite fastidious and I can trust that immigrating our pet into Japan will go without a hitch under his care.
