I have been going there for years with various pets consisting of several cats and a dog. Prices have sky-rocketed in veterinarian care; however, this Hospital has competitive pricing with all the others in the region. Parking is always easy and the staff is always helpful when my 18 pound cat has to be lugged in with a cage or my 80 pound pitbull needs coaxing to jump out of the car.

Recently adopted a gorgeous adult cat and was in the market for a new vet. Took my boy in for a first check up as he had some brown residue in his ears and was scratching a lot. Was able to book an appointment within a week. Staff was very friendly. He got a little ear wash and nail trimming (which I'm too scared to do myself). Dr. April Woods talked to me about his overall health and we discussed a lot of new pet ownership questions I had.My boy came home soo comfortable and relaxed like he just had a spa day!It was great to see as hes a very anxious cat in general.Absolutely will be staying with Altadena Pet Hospital for all my vet needs!

I really like the vet on staff here, she is very knowledgeable and honest about dog care, but some major stressful downsides. I’ve come for 2 wellness checkups and both took 1hr 15 minutes with some stress: when you arrive, you usually wait 15-20 minutes, and then are brought into the exam room where the vet tech takes all the notes on a notepad. For me, they kept forgetting essential questions I wanted to ask the vet myself and came back to check several times. They then take your dog and you’re sitting in the exam room for about 30-45 minutes (!) with no updates as the vet sees the dog in the back and they run tests.
