“GREAT PLACE TO FIND A SPINE OR NEUROLOGICAL SURGEON ================================================= My husband had a recent spinal surgery to fuse three cervical spine discs and we're both happy a week after surgery. We have a spine surgeon in the family, but he was vacationing in Vietnam during my husband's emergency. My husband's surgeon was Thomas C. Chen, MD, PhD, and he is also professor in the Neurological Surgery Department of Keck School of Medicine. I have attached a copy of Dr. Chen's credentials which are impressive. We were referred to him by another Keck USC physician. The USC Spine Center is on the fifth floor of a building right next to Keck USC Medical Center on San Pablo St. My husband's problem affected a nerve going down one arm and it was extremely painful. No amount of pain meds helped at all, so it was basically an emergency surgery. I would highly recommend going to the USC Spine Center if you are having issues.“

“Dr. James Esther was the best doctor I had ever worked for in the medical profession. I was his back office medical assistant for 9 years before I moved out of state. Dr. Esther was very personable and professional. He never rushed anyone in or out of his office. He took time with every patient treating them with respect and dignity. He was old school, meaning, he was a gentleman, and he cared about his patient's more than his paycheck. I can't imagine anyone having a negative experience at his office...not even with the front office.“

I have experienced him to be personable and has an easy way of relating to me. I would imagine that he is this way with all his patients.
