About Vancouver Island Safety Council
The Vancouver Island Safety Council (VISC) is a well-known organization on Vancouver Island that specializes in motorcycle rider training. Since 2012, VISC has focused on this training, introducing over 300 new students each year to the excitement of riding. The Novice training program offers at least 8 extra hours beyond the ICBC Certified minimums, and the two-day traffic course is the longest in British Columbia. Reviews highlight the excellent course duration and the patience of the instructors, making students feel confident on their bikes. Many former students report feeling well-prepared, able to pass their ICBC Road Test on the first try. VISC is highly recommended for anyone looking to learn to ride safely and sensibly. The instructors, Greg, Heather, Ron, Dave, and Jeremy, are praised for their expertise, personable approach, and ability to tailor advice to each student's needs, building their skills and confidence for safe riding.
Excellent experience and tons of knowledge gained in the novice and traffic course. Big thanks to the instructors, Greg, Heather and Ron. 100% recommended to anyone looking to get into motorcycling.
I'd been wanting to take this course for years, and it exceeded my expectations!
I entered with barely any understanding of riding, and this was the absolute best way to build skills and confidence to be safe for the rest of my life. Thanks VISC!
Dave and Jeremy were amazing instructors for my novice course. I hadn't ridden a bicycle in many years and had only driven automatic vehicles. The novice program is well thought out and delivered by experienced and personable staff. Their patience and ability to tailor advice to each student is a major plus. I look forward to getting more training from VISC!
