Magicuts is a locally owned and operated hair salon that offers excellent, upscale-style haircuts and services at affordable prices. The salon is well-run and has extensively trained stylists who can provide great haircuts tailored to your style and lifestyle. Customers have praised the high level of skill and quality provided by stylists such as Synde and Andrea. However, there have been some mixed experiences with communication and service. One customer had to request multiple times for a shorter, layered cut and felt there was an attitude when asking for their hair to be dried. Despite this, many customers appreciate the detailed questions asked by the stylists to ensure they receive the desired cut. Been to many salons and barbershops over the years, I’m usually leery of franchises but this Magicuts is very well-run, and my hairdresser Synde could easily be in a super high-end salon. Her levelof skill, including colour, just plain can’t be beat! I would say best value, but it’s not just that, best quality too! Never going back to paying more elsewhere for lower quality, never ever!
=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE We've only gone there once, but it's pretty solid - pricing vs. quality of haircuts - good enough to go again and recommend at the moment! === 2. HAIRCUT My little guy and I needed some help up top and decided to try this place. We were served by a "SooSun" (actual spelling) and she seemed nice enough. My haircut is a short miltary haircut with fade on the sides and she did reasonably well. Mini Me got something similar and she was able to do it well also. She was nice enough to cater to his specific needs (my toddler is not a fan of haircuts in general :) and they also have a drawer in the front full of candy/lollipops kids can choose from after their cut. I'm fairly particular with who cuts my hair (check my haircut check-in pattern lol) but the experience with SooSun was good enough to warrant a return visit when we need one! === 3. ENVIRONMENT Likely 15+ years ago and so older styling aside, it's bright and clean enough. There are a number of chairs (8?) for hair cuts with seating outside of such. As a parent, it was easy enough for me to be close to my little guy as he was getting his hair cut. Wheelchairs and baby strollers fit easily. Parking seems plentiful in the shopping complex lot outside.
I had mixed feelings about my haircut at Magicuts. While I appreciated the stylist (with colorful hair) asking detailed questions, I had to request multiple times for a shorter, layered cut. Unfortunately, when I asked for my hair to be dried after being sprayed, there was an attitude and minimal effort, leading me to catch a cold later.
