I'm housesitting in Langford right now. After a Thetis walk, I gassed up at the McCallum Rd. Shell. Went to head back to the house to work and my car wouldn't turn over. After getting a boost, I headed toward the house. But only 8min away and with a steep driveway in a residential area (not ideal for a potential next boost), I couldn't risk the car not starting again. I pulled over and looked up nearby battery /automotive shops. I called Langford Parkway Automotive & Transmission at the unfortunate time of 11:59am. I told the guy my issue: new battery last year, car sits half the year, I use a maintainer, and I have a medical appt. later today in Vic. "Hmm, what can we do.." he thought, then said, "Can you get here... now? The guys will go for lunch in 5-10min." "Yes, I can." I stopped in and the guy tested my battery right away: the battery is good. But my car didn't turn over twice in two days so? He noticed the battery node screws were loose (literally), tightened them, and we went our separate ways. World of difference. THANK YOU so much, Langford Parkway Automotive & Transmission. We recently were having issues with a "somewhat new to us" vehicle and we were not familiar with some of the features. The relatively new battery died and we removed it to return it but instead of replacing it they recharged it and told us we were good to go. We put the battery back in but the car would still not start. We had it towed to Langford Parkway Automotive and Transmission. Turns out it was a fairly easy fix and was ready to be picked up the same afternoon. Colin was very kind to explain exactly what had happened and how they were able to fix the problem easily and did not even charge us for their time!!! Needless to say they will now be our go to Auto Shop and although we don't wish to see them often, with 5 cars in the family I'm sure we will be back at some time. Thank you Colin and crew for restoring our faith in car repair shops.
I can’t leave a second review on Google, so I’ll do it here… This place is literally the only place I’ll bring my vehicles. Nat is extremely helpful, and goes out of his way to help you out when he can. The staff is all friendly, and the prices are the best. I’ve brought my own truck, and my girlfriend’s car here multiple times. They’re fast, and reliable at what they do. I’ve never had such a positive experience with a shop. Thank you for the A+ work you do.
