Burt and the other patrons kept me entertained with amusing conversations while I waited. I left looking like a male model—practically ready to star in "Zoolander." “At first I was sceptical of Mo’s talent and abilities because he seemed like too much of a character to also be this good at what he does. My barber shared the same salon as Mo and him and I would constantly argue about sports and other useless information like how un athletic and washed up he was now. However, since my barber decided to pack on up and move to a different province I had no choice but to give Mo a chance. And that was probably the best decision I could make. This guy knows hair better than baby knows how to soil itself. Amazingly talented and by far the funnest guy around. I’d recommend him to anyone but hopefully not too many people since I don’t want too much competition for booking times. 10/5 would come again.“

“I moved here 4 years ago, and unfortunatley, that meant I had to stop going to my hairdresser of 22 years.

Moving to a new city not knowing a sole and/ or the city itself, it was a challenge to find a new hairdresser I could trust to cut my hair the way I have had it cut for decades.
As luck would have it, I moved into the Oak Bay neighbourhood and discovered Nick's Hair Salon.

Christia has been amazing and gets it exactly the way I want it cut.
I have been going to her for 4 years now and I have nothing but great things to say.
She has been able to fit me in on short notice on more than one occasion as well...I am grateful that I was not only able to find an amazing stylist, but also just blocks from my home.

They seem to have a more senior clientele, but nonetheless did a great job reining in his copious teen locks. It was especially fun listening to the barber pry small talk out of him“
