New review: I sought out Victoria to do my wedding updo and I had a recent updo trial with her. I trust her as she’s very knowledgeable and offers great suggestions while trying to fulfill my look. She’s open to any changes or thoughts and does her very best. My trial updo was amazing and I can’t wait to have her as part of my wedding day!
Updating my review here. This salon is fantastic in its new location on Nanaimo, as Franco and Victoria are the main stylists and they could never go wrong. I’ve been to see Mickey twice. The first time to save a balayage gone wrong (which he corrected flawlessly) and the second time to update my tired cut and colour with curtain bangs and highlights. Honestly, best cut/colour I’ve had in years. Mickey has a deep understanding of colour theory and what to do to correct and complement your natural colouring. He’s also really just a lovely human — made me feel comfortable and gave great realistic advice. Workshop is also serious about keeping patrons safe during this pandemic with reasonable but thorough protocols in place. What a lovely addition to our neighborhood! The owners/stylists are warm and communicative and very skilled! I really appreciated the consult and working out a color and style that would make me feel fresh, but not be too high maintenance. I will definitely be returning!
