Master Tailors can sew Morphsuits and Kigurumi suits!!! I had taken in my Ladybug costume and was having some trouble getting it to sew because you can *not* sew spandex with a straight stitch and thats all my machine at home can do. It is very clean with cut threads and seam allowance to allow for extra stretch. Didn't hear a single seam pop all comic con
Excellent alterations and very reasonable prices. I've requested everything from basic hemming to unorthodox tailoring and he's done it all. Just be clear on what you want and bring pictures if possible. For example, if you sometimes like extra room in your waistband, let him know how much (he makes trousers very tailored, but my weight fluctuates so I've emphasized that and he was able to accommodate that). If I've has issues, they've been minor and I've been able to negotiate small fixes. Best for everyday items of clothing, both new and vintage.
I have been a loyal customer to Master Tailor's for over a decade now. The office remains exactly the same as it was when I first set foot in there; in an old Art Deco building on Granville street. Ming is a wonderful man, incredibly attentive and efficient at what he does. I take something in for a fitting, he expediently pins it, and I retrieve it a week or so later perfectly happy with the results. I have had several bad experiences with tailors in the past, finding that they either pin things too tightly or too loosely, but Ming never misses, he knows exactly what to do. He really is a master. I can't recommend him enough. His work is excellent.
