I hadn't been since they renovated but I used to remember how immaculately clean the rooms were. It still has hung onto that retro vibe it once had with a modern twist. Perfect thing to do on a lazy winter Sunday. Book room #10.aka Greta. It's the largest private dry sauna they have.
Love this hidden gem. It's an old school steam and sweat Finnish sauna (meaning the rock stoves you can throw water onto) .Apparently the guy who owned the furnace store next door took over this place and renovated some of the rooms with fresh cedar walls. It's also gotten a fresh new paint job and most of the massage beds in the rooms are brand new. Even tho this place has been a steam sauna for over 100 years and is dated, it's got a nice charm and the OCD clean freak in me has done a close inspection and I've never seen anything dirty or smelly or gross in there. What a great first experience. The owner (Chu - sp?) was great, informative and helpful. Super clean facilities. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Couples & group friendly.
