Chris and Chris at Exile Guitars are great! They are helpful, knowledgeable are friendly (unlike some other stores in the area) and willing to help those who nothing about guitars. They made me feel welcome and I wasn’t intimidated or ignored at all.
I had my daughter’s acoustic guitar restring there years ago because we discovered that she plays left-handed, for some reason. Then, two months ago, I purchased a pre-owned acoustic guitar for my 10 year old son as well as some straps and other accessories for both my son’s and my daughter’s guitars there over the years.

A small shop but it’s packed with a ton of cool stuff to browse. The staff are so kind and welcoming. I wasn’t planning to buy anything today, but ended up with the perfect guitar for me.

Exile is a mandatory visit every time I’m in Vancouver. There is always some kind of a cool, rare, or weird amp or guitar in stock and the prices are civilized. Additionally, at of the staff that I’ve encountered thus fate have been stoked, good people.
