“I had to bring my beloved Nikon AF-S 70-200 2.8 ED (alphabet soup) lens into the shop. I suspect it got dropped while in the hardshell case, transferring all the shock to the focusing mechanism inside. I hated the thought of having it opened because that means dust but a working lens with some dust as opposed to a dead lens is a no brainer. One of the parts actually had to be rebuilt but the tech pulled it off. Good people there. All I can say is well done and thank you. (And maybe clean your electrostatic filter ?)“
