DC Motorworks is a highly recommended auto repair shop known for its honesty, efficiency, and exceptional service. The skilled team, led by Derek and Wayne, has earned the trust of many loyal customers who have been bringing their vehicles to the shop for years. Customers praise the mechanics' expertise, patience, and commitment to ensuring their cars run smoothly. This place had great customer service and were honest about everything. Very reliable. Wayne dealt with me honestly, attentively, and with great care throughout the entire ordeal. He immediately owned up to the issue without making excuses and worked with me on a solution that went above and beyond to make up for the inconvenience. Wayne got him in the next morning, reviewed the issue, realized the starter connection was just loose, and had the team tighten and crimp it without charging for the work because it was a quick fix. These guys are honest and kind, and I couldn't say better things about them. It's rare to find a shop that is as customer-centric as the team at DC Motorworks. DC Motorworks has awesome technicians that put care and hard work into their service. From simple to more complex services, they do a great job and prices are affordable. They do work on EV's.
Derek at DC Motorworks has been our family mechanic for 16 years now. He is super honest, rates are reasonable and he gives you a timeline when things need to be done next. If things don't need to be done now, he'll tell you. He won't gouge you for cash like other mechanics. That's honesty and integrity there, my friends. He was recommended by a friend of mine and now I recommend him to all my friends and family. His crew is super talented as well and the courtesy cars are a nice addition, if you need them.
Update: Came back to the hood and went back to DC Motorworks… they haven’t changed at all and that’s a great thing!
Was referred to DC Motorworks for mechanical work by another shop I was at that only does auto body work and I'm happy I was referred here. Wayne, Ryan and the team are professionals who are great at communication, transparent, and offer fair pricing. What stood out to me the most about them was the inspection report that was easy to access online and sent to me by text with pictures and comments. This is my new go-to shop and will be my recommendation to others from now on!
My experience with DC Motorworks did not start out like many of these reviews. Unfortunately, their team made a mistake while working on my 2023 Mazda CX-5, which led to a follow-up visit. Despite this, I wholeheartedly stand by the other five-star reviews, and here's why: the way they handled the mistake was exemplary.
