For real wood workers there is a wide range of natural live-edge hardwood, and selected softwood in a fascinating range of species. I was delighted to find quarter-sawn white oak, fabulous wide boards of purpleheart, dramatic live-edge tigerwood – and many other species that have been growing since my great great grandad was a boy – now harvested for inclusion in the finest quality woodwork projects.
