We where extremely happy with LaPorte. From Jessie doing a walk through and supplying us a quote. Becky who answered ALL our questions prior to the move (we had lots). And Tyler and his team being friendly, professional, courteous and careful and n love day. If ever we have to move again they would be our first call.
Can’t say enough about how happy I was with the two moves I’ve had to do over the last 10 months (and I hate moving). The LaPorte crew made moving as painless as possible. They arrived right on time and were cheerful and helpful and knew what they were doing. My building manager was even impressed! These folks are pros. They’re probably not the cheapest movers but if you want your move done professionally and your belongings and walls looked after, LaPorte is an excellent choice. Thanks to the crew for all their hard and careful work. Such nice guys. 10/10
We recently had LaPorte move us 500km to our dream retirement home. Jessie was fantastic. He arrived when he said he would, explained everything and outlined all our options before giving us a fairly accurate estimate for our pack and move. Our Moving crew were amazing! They arrived on time, did a walk through before picking up a box, took great care in wrapping all our furniture so it wouldn’t be damaged and loaded everything in an efficient manner. The lead hand Taylor? Tylor? kept us updated and informed of their travel progress and made it to our new home when they said they would even though travel conditions were less then ideal. They guys were amazing unloading and placed everything exactly where we asked and reassembled everything for us. They were respectful of our new floors and paint using lots mats and pads. Now for the not so good. We had a great person team come in the day prior to loading to pack up the house. 2 of the team were amazing! Careful, conscientious and asking for help and the right questions if they were unsure about an item. The third team member, well let’s just say they need to go back to packing school. I could tell exactly which boxes they packed because EVERY BOX had damaged items. Glass in photos frames scratched due to no packing paper, ceramics chipped due to being thrown loose in a box. Two oil on canvas paintings were placed flat in the bottom of separate boxes with no protection with heavy objects placed on top, damaging them with large rips beyond repair. Old family photos were randomly shoved into boxes and folded and creased beyond recognition, paper back books were randomly thrown into boxes breaking the spines on many of them. Overall I would recommend LaPorte but I do recommend they reevaluate some of their employees
