“TLDR: attentive, communicative, patient, great quality work.

I had quartz countertops installed in a large kitchen, double vanity master ensuite, and small single bathroom, with undermount sinks.

I dealt primarily with Sarah Trottier and Shanara Perry

I live(d) in Kelowna and bought a house in PG, sight unseen, but wouldn't be able to move up for several months. I decided to do some upgrades to the house in the intervening time, which meant I was organizing everything long distance and without being able to set eyes on anything or actually talk to anybody in person.

Both Sarah and Shanara talked with me on the phone and through email, sending pictures of samples, giving their opinions, helped me work through my indecisiveness and overthinking (plus, this is the first time I've ever done anything like this - doing it from a distance certainly challenged my anxiety regulation). I had lots and lots (and LOTS) of questions, clarifications, requests. They answered all of them as best they could and talked to the fabricator so I could better understand the process (I also had a corner sink, and not being there to measure myself requested extra information so I could get the right sink delivered).

I was able to order the sinks and faucets (four of each!) online and have them delivered directly to Northern Capital in care of Sarah, unfortunately one of them arrived broken, but they informed me right away and I was able to arrange a return and new one sent out quickly so we didn't hold up the schedule.

Although I was organizing this with alot of lead time having the counters installed quickly once the place became available was very important, because the rest of the upgrades (painting, caulking, backsplash) could only be done afterwards. There was also only 1 month that the house would be vacant for all the upgrades to be done in. They went in at the beginning of that month and got it done very fast. They even adjusted the timing forward by a day to accommodate the plumber (to come in after to hook up the sinks) who was only available for that one day.

On that note also - because I was doing everything from a distance they were able to help me find a plumber they had worked with before (shout out to Aaron from startek - amazing, quick, thorough work).

After the work was completed they sent pictures.

They were very up front with the costs and break down of the bill, there were no hidden or surprise costs, were able to take away the old countertops so I didn't have to deal with that.

I won't lie, doing this long distance, without being able to see anything, never having been there, and never having organized this before was a bit stressful and nerve wracking, but Northern Capital (specifically Sarah and Shanara) really helped ease the process and complete an upgrade that really elevated the feel of the home.

Everyone who has seen it so far loves the job they did and I'm so happy with my beautiful new counters. If I remember I'll try and add pictures later.“
