Functional Athletics Inc. is a well-managed Crossfit gym with a welcoming atmosphere. The gym offers terrific and challenging workouts with new skills to learn and modifications. Coaches are professional and knowledgeable, and the weekly programming is top-notch. Members feel like they are part of a supportive community where everyone knows each other. The owners are involved and lead by example.
The gym has a wonderful community, great coaches, and fantastic child minding services. The coaches provide challenging workouts and means to adapt exercises to one's capacity, which allows members to take part and improve. Sessions have left members wiped every time, but they can't wait to go back for more. The coaching from Mike was phenomenal, and the community atmosphere was very welcoming. If you're in the North Vancouver area, Functional Athletics is highly recommended.
I love this gym!!! The CrossFit and row classes are awesome. I had never done CrossFit before and the instructors are great at scaling exercises to my level and explaining everything. I get a great workout every time. Childminding during the day has been amazing.
I love this gym! The workouts are always varied and challenging. The coaches are all awesome people, and they are so great at accommodating injuries, different skill levels, and specific goals. The class sizes are the perfect size: small enough to allow you to get feedback from the coaches, and big enough to create a fun atmosphere. Showers on site and dog friendly! I highly recommend this gym!!
I love this place! When I first started going I was apprehensive of the class based workout schedule but it turns out I prefer it. It’s nice to not have to preplan every workout and have it done for you instead.
Once you find a time that you can go consistently you’ll quickly become part of that social circle which really makes the workouts that much better.
They’re also doing some hyrox stuff now if you’re into that
