The part I was looking for was triple overpriced from them. The guy hang up the phone at the moment I tried discuss the price. Never experienced a rude behavior as such.

The guy I talked to obviously didn't know what he was doing. First quote $ 215. For a used 16 inch steel rim sec quote 180. Said he had deals, then said 165 for a used 16 in steel rim . He talked to me like I was an idot, I do not advise anyone to deal with them if they are going to be that abusive and untruthfull and over priced.Canadian tire sells new ones for 72.00 bucks that new not used.

I had to find a new radiator for my truck and it being close to Christmas I decided to look at auto wreckers. Out of all the places I called this was the first place to have one for the make and model truck I have . They were fast to have it pulled and a very reasonable price I paid with a very reasonable return policy and warranty. Well long story short when I got the old radiator taken off it was found that it wasn't the rad I needed as I only needed to replace the clamp . Was able to exchange that part for another part I needed without any hassles . Thanks guys at the malahat auto wreckers ...definitely helped me in this season . Merry Christmas and wishing you Manu blessings for the year to come ?

Why doesn’t Google have a zero star option? This place has the worst customer service I’ve honestly ever experienced. They were rude to us from the start and wanted to charge absurd prices for a damaged part. I was berated for asking to inspect a part to make sure it was the correct one for the year of my vehicle, the sales person clearly did not want to help with any questions (is that not your job?). To finish it off, my partner was told HE was rude after pointing out that the part was damaged.

I've been in the auto industry over 20 years. Stay away from Malahat. If they actually have the part you're looking for..they'll try and charge more then what the part costs new! Ridiculous pricing.

I beleive this is the first negative Google review I've left for anyone. My old VW van broke down and I suspect the ECU is the issue. I hunted around a bit on the interweb, a few on eBay for around $600 CAD, 2 left on Rock Auto for a bit less than $500 CAD less core return. Ordered one on Rock, shipping was delayed and I needed one quickly so I searched Car-Part for used ECUs, Malahat showed a few 'call for quote". I contacted them for quote via email and was quoted $1895 for a used ECU even though other wrecking yards in the USA show them for $350 USD! I advised them by return email I had now ordered the last ECU from Rock to have two in hand - and no thanks for 1200 less than their quote for 1 I got 2 ECUs. He wrote back and said the Rock ECUs must be junk as I had to order 2. And...that his came from eBay and he paid 'top dollar' for em. Then reiterated his price was in USD. This one stunned me enough I had to take the time to drop a review, it's honest and how it was. Next time I need an ECU for my 2.1 wbx, I'll be looking for a Subaru motor to swap in instead. And it won't be coming from Malahat. Cheers
