About Fort St. John Women's Resource Society
The Fort St. John Women's Resource Society offers essential support to low and no-income individuals in the community, including women, men, children, 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, Indigenous people, and immigrants. It provides a welcoming environment with resources such as clothing, food, and assistance for those in need. The staff are helpful, energetic, and non-judgmental, dedicated to serving everyone regardless of background. The organization also houses key staff members like the Executive Director, Family Law Advocate, and others to support clients. While the society is a valuable resource and opens its doors to men once a week, some concerns about safety and recent disruptions have been noted, highlighting the need for a safe space for all who seek help.
Staff are amazing helpful and always energetic and enthusiastic non judgemental and helpful with many resources there clothing food store could use more donations for people who are in need
A little gem that has resources for those who need a little help to get by. The staff is wonderful and helpful in many ways. The place not only serves women but they open its doors once a week to men to access the services.
Disappointed by the lack of safety for those who need help, the WRS was a wonderful place to be but as of late a lot of women have told me they are afraid to go into the WRS because of the disruption due to some issues about safety.I respect the wonderful ladies who work there, and I hope this can be rectified soon.
