I visited Marv's for the alterations/tailoring side of their business. I dropped off a pair of corduroy pants for hemming. It was a pleasant and warm experience with the clerk, she mentioned how sewing thread used might not match exactly to the original colour on the pants, asking me if I'd still like to go ahead. It was a Wednesday and the item would be ready by Monday. So I returned early afternoon on Monday with the little pink receipt; after a quick exchange 'Drycleaning or alteration?' received my hemmed pants, and checked them over for quality *before* leaving the shop as directed by a sign on the wall. The colour of the thread was a very nearly identical shade of gold - no problem in that regard! Payment is after the job is done; this pant hemming for a first-time customer cost $17.85. By the way: the paper tag about the job is stapled on the waist of the pants & the off-cuts of fabric are not included in the bag. Very satisfied. :)
