I am 82 years old and my wife is 72 years old. I was scheduled for back surgery in March but was constantly being deferred until the evenutal surgery in September. In anticipation of needing home care to help with my recovery, my wife contacted Home Instead in March where we were able to connect with the owner to discuss our situation. The owner ( Harpreet) came to our home to consult with us and assess our home environment to determine what we should consider and prepare for. Harpreet was so kind and caring and explained everything to us. We needed help after we both had surgeries. Home Instead was clear and thorough in their assessment of our needs and sent us caring, thoughtful and extremely capable people. It made a huge difference to our recovery not to have to worry about getting household chores done. I will use this service again.
My mother was lucky to have excellent, thoughtful care givers from Home Instead for almost three years. They supported her at home, through five weeks in hospital, and finally, two years in private dementia care. They were considerate, caring, and skilled at keeping her occupied and interested. We appreciated their ability to get the best for her and went out of their way to make her last years as happy as possible.
