I contacted Mike in February 2023 to see if he could restore a rusted Solingen hunting knife that had belonged to my Dad. Mike transformed the rusted knife into what I can only describe as a thing of beauty. Communication was entirely by email, the knife was sent back and forth by Canada Post, and payment was by etransfer. Mike was professional, honest, quick, and charged a reasonable price -- and his work speaks for itself. He is a true craftsman. Highly recommended.
I worked for a company years back that cut the blanks out and I managed to get one for Xmas back in 2008. I don't use it for the purpose it was made for but this knife is indestructible This thing has been through hell and back twice. Been used as a chisel, hammer, axe, hatchet, bottle opener, fillet, straight edge, fire poker, wood saw, can opener and the list goes on. Sharpens up nice every time and the rubber handle makes it comfortable and good grip even when wet or frozen. I always keep in handy in my home shop and never go on a camping trip or hunting with out it. A perfect gift and must have for any out doors man or hunter. Great quality local work !!
