Golden Puppies
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Golden Puppies and the experience we’ve had with them since the beginning of the summer!
We have three dogs in their training program, and all three are at completely different places in their training journeys. Kristie has been absolutely phenomenal at recognizing what each dog needs, meeting them where they are, and helping them grow as individuals.
Chili is working toward becoming my service dog as I’m quickly losing my hearing. She had already completed all of the obedience classes at our previous training facility, and I knew she needed a new challenge. Golden Puppies has been exactly that! Kristie has helped us take everything Chili already knows and apply it in real-world environments, while continuing to build her confidence and skills.
Herbie is our Old English Sheepdog and had also completed all of the obedience classes at our previous facility. Training with Golden Puppies has challenged him in an entirely different way. Getting outside of a traditional classroom and working in the real world, with all of the distractions that come with it, has been SO good for him. He absolutely loves to work, and it has been so much fun watching him continue to grow.
And then there’s Chewie. 😂 Somewhere along the way, Chewie became reactive toward other dogs outside of his siblings. We’ve been working on behavior modification with Kristie, and the progress he has made has been incredible. We LOVED our previous trainer, but one thing that has been especially helpful here is having appropriate dogs available for Chewie to safely work around and, when he’s ready, greet. Seeing how far he has come has honestly been one of the best parts of this experience.
What I appreciate most about Kristie is that she doesn’t treat our three dogs like they’re all the same. Chili, Herbie, and Chewie have completely different personalities, goals, strengths, and challenges, and she adjusts her training to each one of them.
And I have to give a special shoutout to Nataly, the owner of Golden Puppies. She is genuinely one of the kindest people we have ever met. One of my favorite things about Golden Puppies is that Nataly isn’t just the owner — she actively participates in classes alongside us with her own dogs! There’s something really special about seeing the owner out there training, learning, laughing, and working through things with her dogs right alongside everyone else. It makes the entire environment feel incredibly welcoming and supportive.
We are so grateful we found Golden Puppies. Between Kristie’s dedication as a trainer and Nataly creating such a positive, welcoming community, we truly couldn’t have asked for a better place for our Herd. ❤
