VASA Fitness is a community-driven gym that offers an inclusive and accessible fitness experience for everyone. The Tucson location features a wide range of amenities, including STUDIO RED for boutique HIIT classes, group fitness, personal training, STRONG for performance lifting, basketball, functional training turf, an indoor pool, and child care. The gym has many machines and other nice commodities, making it a good choice for many members. Its studio red classes are suitable for both beginners and experienced gym-goers. The facility is large, clean, and well-maintained, with ample space and a variety of cardio and strength-training equipment. The staff, including trainers, are some of the nicest and coolest people you'll meet, contributing to a welcoming environment. However, the gym closes early (10 pm) on weekends, which can be inconvenient for those who work late and prefer evening workouts. The app is often criticized for poor transparency and control over billing, leading members to contact customer service for changes or cancellations. Personal training programs are helpful but may not include detailed routine planning or dietary guidance as expected. The location tends to attract a mix of members, some of whom may be less respectful, with issues like loud music in parking lots and attempts to harass others for equipment. One notable concern is the equipment—especially the hyperextension machine, which can bruise people who are shorter than 5’4”. The machine seems to need investment to improve comfort and safety for all users. Despite some drawbacks, VASA Fitness remains a pretty good gym for those who can overlook billing issues, limited class times, and a few unruly members.
