TMC for Women

Tucson Medical Center for Women played a critical role in saving our family, and I want to acknowledge that first.

My wife went into unexpected early labor at 35 weeks late Monday night. Our local rural ER delivered our daughter, and TMC was the only hospital willing to accept the transfer for both a premature newborn and postpartum mother. For that, we are genuinely grateful.

The medical staff at TMC were excellent. Labor & Delivery staff were kind, professional, and supportive. They educated us, treated our baby with care, and did everything right. Our postpartum nurse in room 117 was also fantastic and advocated for us when it mattered.

I don’t feel the same about TMC anymore after being literally in ACTIVE LABOR with water broken , horrible contractions and everything , they had me sitting in the lobby for over an hour. The front desk girl was extremely rude and inconsiderate after I told her I had to push bad she told me to go sit and wait like everyone else I almost had to have a C-section because my daughters heart rate kept dropping it was due to the water being broken for a long period of time already . I would never recommend this hospital not even as a joke ! 😭

The Ladies at the front desk were awesome and very pleasant when we arrived for my daughter’s sonogram, however, the person who actually performed the sonogram, Kiana I believe her name was, was less than impressive. She was visibly annoyed when she saw that my daughter had 3 people (the allowed number of guests) with her to attend the appointment. It is the first baby in a new generation of our family and we were all very excited. She had a very lackluster demeanor and made it to be not as pleasant of a memory as it should’ve been. Someone who is seemingly that miserable in their role should find a different career in my opinion.
