Dr. Ramanathan was extremely unkind to my daughter during what was her first (and hopefully last) filling. My daughter was very scared, and instead of using patience or age-appropriate communication, the doctor made the situation so much worse. She repeatedly scolded my child for being afraid and used intimidation, including threatening not to complete the filling to force her to cooperate. The tension was so noticeable that even the hygienists seemed uncomfortable.

Dr. Ramanathan has no bedside manner. She is somehow the pediatric dentist for Aeris dental but has no patience for children. She held my 3 year old down and pried their mouth open to get fluoride in their mouth with a toothbrush as my child was crying. She didn't try any techniques to make my child comfortable. She came in and instructed me to have my child sit on me and she grabbed my child’s face and tried to pry their mouth open. I had to stop her as soon as I realized that she had no intention of trying to soothe him. And then screamed over my crying child trying to talk to me about dental care. It was so horrible.
