I went to the office on Orange Grove to get cataract surgery due to a vitrectomy I'd had a couple months before. After putting drops in my eyes and doing the same exact tests I'd had two weeks earlier at Retina Associates, they told me that I had glaucoma and couldn't get the cataract surgery until they treated the glaucoma. I tried to refuse the tests, but they told me it was procedure. A few days later, they called me and said I had to go in again for more tests (another $30 copay), but I told them they were gouging me and went to a different eye specialist with a sterling reputation. I'm scheduled for cataract surgery in a couple days. They did all the tests and I was only charged the $30 copay. Arizona Eye Consultants sent me a bill for $7.26 for a test they said they did. I looked up their claim on my insurance and should only have been billed $7.00. Of course, I shouldn't have been billed at all because I refused the tests and it should have been covered by my copay. To sum up, STAY AWAY FROM ARIZONA EYE CONSULTANTS! They are dishonest in every way! They will rip you off!
I would give this place a 0 star if possible. Went to get my eyes tested after 5 years of having keratoconus yet when I was finished with my appointment they refused to give me anything that would tell me what my vision was at which is why I was there to begin with. I have now waited almost 1 year to the date of calling them, going down to the office, and sending tons of emails asking for anything that just says what my vision was currently at. There should have been no reason that I can't get something with MY medical information either in person or any other way. They refused to print and physically hand me any of my medical documents, refused to email me anything, and refused to send anything in the mail. I feel that after a year of waiting that I have been more then patient and now because I didn't know how fast my vision was declining I had lost my job as a delivery driver for an auto parts store because my vision was to bad for them to trust that i would not crash. All I ever asked was for something or even someone to tell me what my vision was at because the rate at which my vision was changing was a lot more rapid then I was anticipating and again all I was asking was to know if my vision was 20/100 or 20/200, I just wanted to know so I could have expected this and now my life has been changed and not for the good. I hope that this will change the way they do business and hope that people will not have the same hard ships I had when just trying to get their vision fixed.
Have been to 3 of their locations, Orange Grove & Grant are OUTSTANDING!! Everyone... The silverbell office, ANOTHER STORY!!! Dr, fabulous. Medical staff top notch. Front Office support staff, are rude and obtuse! We have 3 clients who we take there, seen it repeatedly, not just to our clients but to others checking in. Mentioned in passing to Dr assistant, clearly nothing done. NOT sure what type of relationship cross over here that ALLOW such rudeness fr support staff... but for us, Our last interaction w front desk, was final straw. Pulled all three clients to another facility. Treating people w respect, is pretty basic. if your people can't do it, put them away fr people or fire them!
