I worked with Althea because H & R Block made egregious errors in my Federal and State 2024 tax returns. When I approached H & R about these errors it was represented that I was not correct regardless what was represented to me by the IRS and Vanguard. The errors were so bad that the tax liability was 73% too high. Why wouldn’t H&R Block not want to help a retired individual prepare tax returns correctly?
Althea was polite, professional and knowledgeable and made the adjustments in an amendment and attached the proper forms. It was a relief a pleasure working with her. I would not hesitate to hire Althea who I now have made my permanent tax preparer. You will be glad you did.

I have been coming here for a few years and love it! I have tried doing taxes myself online and its too much of a hassle and not something you want to mess up. Everyone I have worked with here has been so kind, helpful and efficient. Its nice to have some as annoying as taxes be hassle free.

Joann did ours taxes ( standard deductions). She said we owed Federal $1300+. My husband( who is NOT a tax accountant) questioned her as he looked through ours briefly and thought we were to get a $600 refund. It turns out, my husband was correct. Her mistake could have cost us ALOT of money and she wouldn't even refund any of the $250 fee she charged us. I suggest everyone double check her figures. We will not use her for taxes and will not recommend this FSG to anyone.***After posting this, our fee was refunded. Thank you, Joann.
