I've been shopping walk-in tubs for a couple of years. After having Kevin come to my home and walk me through what to expect in demolition and reconstruction I made the decision to go ahead with the tub and added a new toilet and hot water heater.( The last two I received environmental rebates for updating.)
It was Charles Caldwell and Justin Riggs who did the yeoman's work of dismantling and removing my built-in shower. Then they did the meticulous work of putting in the tub, toilet and complicated surround.
Charles did the final finishing work so that my new bathroom was turn key ready. It looks as if it is original to my home!
The team was professional, quiet, very neat, clean, efficient and on time!! After years of waiting I now can enjoy a good soak!

Sierra Remodeling just finished my master bathroom remodel. I have been wanting to remove the small shower and replace it with open shelving, and I also wanted to take out the unused garden tub and convert it into a walk-in shower. Let me tell you something: if you are looking for a cheap remodeling company, Sierra Remodeling is not for you. However, if you want a job done to perfection with top-of-the-line materials, you will want to use them. Mike, our designer, was a joy to work with, and the team that did the work did a top-notch job. The team was so meticulous that when they accidentally scratched the paint in a couple of places on the ceiling while installing the heavy shower panels, they chose to repaint the entire ceiling instead of just touching it up, and they did not charge me extra for this work. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Sierra Remodeling. My pictures do not do the work justice.

Thank you, Kevin, for your coordination and hard work alongside your team. An extra special shout out to Justin Riggs for his hard work, expertise, and for paying attention to detail throughout the process. Doing things right the first time so that you don’t have to do it over again really pays off.

The staff at Sierra Remodeling are great, and I couldn’t be happier with my new walk-in tub and bathroom remodel. From the friendly receptionist that invited me to wander through the showroom, to the salespeople, construction supervisor and workers, I highly recommend this team.
After sitting in their showroom walk-in tub, and doing my own research, Kevin walked me through the tub options and recommended American-made Universal Tub. I did not get the whirlpool jets, which require a 240-volt dedicated circuit, but did get the heated back and seat which only requires a standard 120-volt circuit (saving a lot of electrician time and expense).
Before starting work, Matt and Jimmy put down canvas drop cloths from the front door to the bathroom. Each time they entered the house they made sure the door was closed so my cat would not escape. They taped off the door to the bathroom so sheet rock dust would not enter the bedroom. And at the end of each day, they cleaned up.
Construction went smoothly. I really appreciated that they carefully removed the old shower door for repurposing at Don8it (on Hwy 90 near Canyon Vista Medical Center). They attempted to remove the 50-year-old tub in one piece to repurpose but unfortunately, they could not make that happen.
After 3.5 days, my tiny bathroom looks twice the size and is more functional. The tub is so relaxing for a quick sit-down shower with hand-held sprayer or a deep soak for sore muscles. Rather than the confining glass door, the walk-in tub is open and comfortable. Dropping the ceiling of the interior wall added light and air to the bath area (and added a new cat perch!).
