We were traveling thru and needed to board our fur baby. It was clean and Steve was extremely nice and accommodating. He had a bed made just for our fur baby when we arrived!

This is a great boarding facility. I have been coming to this location for about 9 years. My dog LOVES Steve. She gets lots of love, attention and treats.

The place looked real clean. My problem was. The manager.Steve is extremely rude. Uses foul language to customers. Especially the f word. I brought two toys and a small bucket of treats for my dog ( Marvin). And he didn't even give them to him. He was there for a week with nothing to play with. And when I went to pick him up he was scared to come to me like he was going to be punished. I don't abuse my dogs.

My only concern with boarding my dog was Steve the worker. Steve treats humans with such disrespect and hatefulness which made me concerned how he was going to treat my dog. I was gone for a week and checked the cameras constantly to make sure my dog wasn't being mistreated. I never saw anything but my dog was very scared when I picked him up. I left toys and treats for my dog but nothing was ever given. Tried charging me a extra day after telling me I could pick up my dog the following day at no charge due to them being closed, and my flight time in PHX.

Steve, at Heart of the Mtn, has been taking care of my dogs for 8 years, and all of our experiences have been very positive. He truly cares about the dogs there and it shows by the way he treats them. I’m glad he follows rules like “no dogs touring the facility” because that could introduce chaos and disease. Thank you, Steve!

I would never leave my dog here. We stopped by to check them out and had our dog with us. Dogs can't come on tours he says, so OK, I get it. My wife takes our dog outside and he starts hollering "Don't walk your dog out there, going to the bathroom and stuff!" He's grumpy, doesn't appear to like dogs very much, and I wouldn't be surprised if he kicks them to "make them behave". We'll drive another tn minutes to another boarding place that's friendly and welcoming and genuinely likes dogs.

I feel like the owner abuses the animals he doesn’t particularly care for. I saw a cat in a cage right up front filled with feces and old food. The owner said he didn’t like the cat when I mentioned the condition of the cage. Then one of my two dogs I boarded there came back with a very hoarse bark. He couldn’t wait to leave. I feel he was not given water or possibly choked or left outside overnight for two nights… I would never bring him there again

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are very impersonal, non-sympathetic, and the man the behind the counter was very rude. I would not take roadkill there to be taken care of, let alone my precious loving pet. I am not sure I even received my same loving animal back that I had cremated by itself. I would not trust these people.
