Steve, at Heart of the Mtn, has been taking care of my dogs for 8 years, and all of our experiences have been very positive. He truly cares about the dogs there and it shows by the way he treats them. I’m glad he follows rules like “no dogs touring the facility” because that could introduce chaos and disease. We have boarded our 2 German Shepards here Max and Roxy several times throughout the last 2 years, Steve is a fantastic customer service guy. It is clear he is passionate about animals. The facility has cameras which my wife found very comforting on vacation, this was the first place we ever boarded and it was seamless and straightforward, Steve fed and administered meds properly for our aging dogs, I highly recommended this kennel and for the cost with a discount for multiple dogs in one kennel it’s a great value !
Peaceful Pet Rest's pet cremation services are the absolute best. I worked at a local veterinary hospital for 8 years, and was blown away by Lisa's care of the pets from the hospital all the way until the ashes were returned. Since Lisa took over Heart of the Mountain Pet Rest and Peaceful Pet Rest in the summer of 2022, it's been worlds different compared to prior ownership. She was more than happy to allow me to tour not only the kennel, but the crematory as well. It's evident how she loves animals, and when she promises to continue care for pets and treat them with respect after they pass, I know she means it. She was always prompt in picking up and returning pets for cremation, and showed me step by step how separation is used to ensure pet cremains never mix on individual processes, and that the entire chamber is used for private processes. While I hope to not need pet cremation services personally for a very long time, there's nowhere else I would trust with my pet.
