The entire team was compassionate, professional, and truly treated my dog like their own. We went to Animal Medical & Surgical Center when referred by my primary vet, due to my dog, Rylee, having a spontaneous pneumothorax. He was my baby and the love of my life. Even though he did not make it, Animal Medical & Surgical Center did absolutely everything they could to save him and provide us with the most compassionate care possible. I was able to spend the majority of his time at the hospital by his side, so neither of us had to be alone. The quality of service and empathetic care provided to both of us was immeasurable. It was above, and beyond anything I could ever expect from a vet or physician of any kind. This is especially true when it came to the help we received from Tammy and Dr. Harris. Tammy went as far as trying to feed me dinner because she knew I had been there all day. Dr. Harris sat on the floor with Rylee and I while she clearly explained all of our options, provided great insight, and was beyond supportive when it came to helping us make the right decision for our boy. She provided constant updates and always checked in. Dr. Harris and Tammy were the silver lining to one of the worst weeks of my life and I will never forget them. All in all, this is without a doubt the place you want to bring your fur babies if you are ever in need of help.

Okay this is an honest rating from a 19 year old girl who was in so much stress and crying uncontrollably because my cat jumped off my damn balcony and I thought he was really hurt so I rushed him in at like 1 in the morning and I couldn't find the entrance so I called and all I see is this lady running out to help me (and I'm by myself) I'm like omg this lady is so nice so I'm crying even harder and I get my cat inside and all the people there are so nice and actually made me feel like I was in a room with my sisters because they were all just good people and easy to talk to they made sure he was okay just a scratch on his butt but honestly anyone complaining in a review about the price DONT GO TO THE VET then like obviously it's going to be expensive so expect it and don't complain if you genuinely care about your pet then get them the help they need money can be made but you can't ever bring someone or something back so it's worth every penny for me.

I am not the type of person to leave reviews but I thought it was important for me to leave one after my poor experience at AMSC. I brought my 9 year old English Bulldog in at 2am on Monday morning because she was having severe diarrhea and had started vomiting a couple hours before. Upon arrival, they took her in the back for an evaluation which took 5 minutes then brought her back to me and we were taken into a room where Dr. Mayer came in to talk to me. She said she recommended blood tests and x-rays but that she could also just treat the symptoms instead. I opted for the treatment of symptoms because that was the more pressing issue and thought I would pursue the tests at a later time if the symptoms didn't clear up from my regular veterinarian. Dr. Mayer told me they would give her a 24 hour anti nausea shot but would not prescribe my dog anything for her horrible diarrhea except for a $96 probiotic that I can purchase on Amazon for $25. When I asked her if she could please give my dog something for her diarrhea she became defensive and told me "no" and that I would just have to wait it out with the probiotic. I have worked in the pet industry for many years and know for a fact that giving a dog metronidazole greatly helps the diarrhea to stop and prevents dehydration and further complications. I said yes to the anti nausea shot but no to the probiotic which I've used before and it did absolutely nothing to help. After paying almost $300 for a 5 minute exam and an anti nausea shot which I believe was given to my dog in too high of a dosage because she was so out of it when we got home that she could barely move I ended up having to call my regular veterinarian first thing in the morning to tell them that my dog was suffering from severe diarrhea and that the doctor at AMSC would not prescribe her any anti diarrhea medication. Thankfully, my vet immediately prescribed my dog metronidazole and because of that she is doing much better. All in all it was a truly bizarre experience at AMSC because my dog was denied a medication to help with the very thing I brought her in for and I still ended up paying almost $300.

My little friend had a seizure twice so we took him in and they were wonderful. He stayed 24 hours and they took care of him. Thank you!
