About Extreme Martial Arts
Extreme Martial Arts is a dojo where students of all ages can learn self-defense and improve their strength. The staff is patient and friendly with children, teens, and adults, creating a welcoming environment. Some parents feel that the belt system may be too easy at the beginning, with belts awarded quickly until higher levels. Parking can be an issue, as some parents park illegally during classes. Despite this, many students enjoy training there, gaining confidence and strength, and feeling like part of a family. The dojo is considered good, though somewhat expensive.
Me and my two older brothers used to go here for a good few years. I’ve always loved the teaching style, and amazing opportunities the dojo gives. I do hope to one day return to the dojo, and work to receive my long awaiting black belt; still hanging on the rack above the doors. Thank you for the many amazing years of experience! To be honest... I think they give away the beginning belts too easily. When I was a kid, I never graduated from white belt because I couldn't do summersaults well. I believe that was too harsh, but my kid didn't remember the techniques most of the time and I believe she needed to at least know those even if she couldn't do much of the athletics. You'll notice that you don't have to attend there as often as they say you should as they still had my daughter obtain her belts quite easily until at least the grey belt. I signed up my 4 yr old granddaughter. Just wanted something different for her to participate in. The instructors(sorry if I’m not using the correct term) are wonderful with her and with all in the class. I thought maybe she is to young but I’m seeing improvement with her discipline more and more. This is also new to me as well. I’m excited to see where this will take her.
